For the nostalgia in us, one of the great "summer songs" of all time was "The Girl From Ipanema," sung by Brazilian bossa nova singer Astrud Gilberto, who passed away yesterday. Here she is in a live performance in 1964, with the late Stan Getz accompanying on saxophone. RIP.

Mid-Week Wind Chill Song
Jazz trumpeter Cindy Bradley's latest album, "The Little Things," marks her sixth solo album. When she's not performing, she's advocating for animal rights and teaching in elementary school. That's our kind of musician. Her track off her latest album, "Wind Chill Factor" tops the smooth jazz charts. Enjoy.

Mid-Week Everyone Song
Jazz trumpeter Cindy Bradley's music ranges from contemporary to smooth jazz, and she's received awards in both genres. A graduate of the New England Conservatory in Boston, when she's not touring or recording (she's recorded 5 successful albums), she teaches elementary school band classes (bravo!). We last featured her about a year ago. Today, our song choice is her "Everyone But You," from her album "Natural." Enjoy.

Mid-Week Song: Cindy Bradley
Since her graduation from the New England Conservatory, jazz trumpeter Cindy Bradley has been making great contemporary jazz music, winning multiple awards including 2010's American Smooth Jazz Awards' Best New Artist. Her fifth solo album, "Natural," was released last month and a track off of that album, "Category A" featuring British jazz guitarist Chris Standring, is our song today. Enjoy.
