President's Weekly Address - Expanding Opportunity (And Republican Obstruction)

Here's one of several money quotes:
I’ve taken actions to attract new jobs, lift workers’ wages, help students pay off their loans, and more. And the Republican plan right now is not to do some of this work with me—instead, it’s to sue me. That’s actually what they’re spending their time on. It’s a political stunt that’s going to waste months of America’s time. And by the way, they’re going to pay for it using your hard-earned tax dollars.
The basis for Weeper of the House John "Mr. Tangerine Man" Boehner's threatened law suit?  The President's failure to implement the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") quickly enough. Hawhawhaw.

Empty Suit

The announcement by Weeper of the House and Congressional circus ringmaster John "Mr. Tangerine Man" Boehner that he would sue the President for misuse of Executive Orders was as hypocritical as it was inevitable.  Hypocritical because under Dumbya, hundreds of Executive Orders were issued without any objection from Congressional Rethugs.  (In fact, Obama has signed fewer Executive Orders than any President since Grover Cleveland in the latter part of the 19th Century.)  Inevitable because, given the Rethugs' failure to obstruct the President's signature achievement (Affordable Care Act) or extort damaging concessions (Government shutdown), a sure-to-flop suit in Federal court against the President also helps rally the demoralized base, after teabagger losses in Senate primaries in Mississippi and Oklahoma.

Even the Fux Bidness Channel's lockstep support of Rethug tactics is showing cracks:  host Neil Cavuto ridiculed retiring Congresswoman and certifiable loon Michele "Crazy Eyes" Bachmann for pushing a "silly" lawsuit instead of trying to chip away at the President legislatively.  The way they talk past each other in this video captures the division in the Rethuglican Party perfectly:
