From the sports desk: not only did Detroit not go bankrupt, but the Tigers just swept the New York Yankees in four games, winning the fourth game tonight 8 - 1.

Is it good karma that President Clinton and Bruce Springsteen are on a roll (see posting below) in blue collar Ohio and the midwest, and that revitalized Detroit is in the World Series? Sure it is.
