"Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." -- attributed to investor, philanthropist and Dem donor Warren Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Buffett co-founded the "Giving Pledge" in 2010, pledging to give away at least half of his fortune (Buffett is reportedly worth $160 billion, according to Forbes). That pledge represents some hefty tree planting.
