Happy 45th birthday to Chris Martin, lead singer and pianist for UK band Coldplay, whose new video "Let Somebody Go" featuring Selena Gomez, has been out one month and logged tens of millions of views. It's a simple but lovely song, perhaps over-dramatized by the extensive special effects of this video. Enjoy.

British group Coldplay has been one of the most successful alt rock bands in the past decade.  The band's pianist/lead singer is Chris Martin (a.k.a. Mr. Gwyneth Paltrow), who also composes many of their tunes.  Here's their 2008 recording, "Lost!"

As one of most successful bands worldwide with over 50 million records sold, Coldplay is led by pianist/vocalist Chris Martin (Gywnneth Paltrow's hubby). The video was filmed in London and South Africa.

It seems rather mundane to be thinking about time changes when there is such terrible devastation in Japan. (The earthquake was the biggest in modern Japanese history and the fifth largest in history; the death toll is expected to be in the thousands, from the earthquake and resulting tsunamis). Nonetheless, this weekend daylight saving time begins in most of North America, Europe and Russia, so remember to set your CLOCKS forward an hour before retiring Saturday night. And it never hurts to say a prayer.
