Steve Schmidt, former lieutenant to Karl "Turdblossom" Rove in the Bush/Cheney '04 campaign, has been tapped to take over day-to-day operations of the McBush campaign, which has been, um, floundering of late. C&L has this piece on Turdblossom's boy. Although sorely tempted, Schmidt is not expected to adopt a "truth-in-campaigning" strategy; therefore, don't look for "Four More Years" to be McBush's new slogan.
