Bushville - A Gated Community

There are news reports today that U.S. troops are building a wall around the Sunni neighborhood of Azamiyah in Baghdad. Residents are highly resentful that the wall is being constructed without having consulted first with the local council. The reports say that the wall will separate the Sunni neighborhood from surrounding Shiite communities, and will be gated and guarded by Iraqi soldiers. Not only are we engaged in nation building, but now our troops are being asked to build walls around neighborhoods in Baghdad. Chances are they'll be the next symbol of occupation that will be targeted by bombs.
