The Party Snatchers

Long time GOP operative and writer Vic Gold has come out with a new book, offering scathing views of what has become of the Rethuglican Party. Entitled "Invasion of the Party Snatchers: How the Holy-Rollers and Neocons Destroyed the GOP," Gold labels Bush as "Dan Quayle in cowboy boots," mocking his supposed "stong' image. He's disgusted with religion in politics, expanded government, the war of choice in Iraq, and the curtailment of individual liberties. In the WaPo interview, Gold says:

"I really came to the conclusion that there was a threat to our system, to our way of life, and it was coming from those I thought were my people"
