Of Warriors and Wingnuts

Seldom do we quote from Andrew Sullivan's blog, but he has a good take on the Reich-wing's smearing of US soldier Scott Beauchamp, who wrote revealing blogs from Iraq about his experiences:

"I truly have no explanation why the right wing blogosphere has managed to largely ignore and deny actual claims and cases of torture and abuse by US soldiers but have gone batshit over some trivial, unshocking, verified soldier stories by a man who, unlike (Powerline's Dean) Barnett and (Michelle) Malkin, is actually serving his country. . . Their President and their Congress and their movement have lost a war, wounded America's moral standing in the world, and caused tens of thousands of deaths and a greater risk of terrorism across the globe. . ." [Emphasis added]

Enough said, Yellow Elephants ("Because ranting is safer than enlisting").
