The networks are announcing that Sen. St. John McSame has chosen Alaska Gov. Sarah (Who?) Palin as his VP running mate. Clearly, the old guy wants America's women to think he's on their side with this pick, despite the fact that McSame is opposed to equal pay for equal work and so many other issues affecting women. Thinking that he'll pick up disaffected Hillary voters with his anti-women record is strange, and an insult to women who are paying attention to the issues.
Palin's been governor of Alaska since December 2006, and before that she was the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska (population 8,400). So McBombbombbomb thinks she's ready to be President? Strange that he "passed over" more highly qualified women, such as Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, or Sen. Elizabeth Dole. It's not clear how Who? is uniquely qualified as VP, or worst case, as President. She also has said she wasn't sure what the VP did and that the VP job isn't "productive" (see Al Gore). Great preparation!
The media will be busy trying to find some substance on Who? over the next few days, and we're sure they'll do their best to be "fair and balanced" by pointing out that McSame picked a woman, and Obama didn't.
