We're Having A Heat Wave

Invariably every winter, especially during a blizzard or cold snap, we hear the amateur wingnut meteorologists claim, "see, there's no global warming." This is a little like comparing the number of obituary notices one day to the next, and claiming, "see, the death rate is declining." It's confusing weather with climate. And science with politics.

This graph shows that the number of record high temperatures for the past few decades has exceeded the number of record cold days, and the trend is obvious. So the next time one of Pills Limpballs' dittoheads wants to argue about global climate change, remember this graph.
