For those remaining Dems that require a backbone implant to vote for health insurance reform vs. their careers, former Rep. Marjorie Margolies writes an op-ed in today's Kaplan Daily that tells the wavering pols:
"You will be assailed no matter how you vote this week. And this job isn't supposed to be easy. So cast the vote that you won't regret in 18 years."She was defeated in a largely Repub district in Pennsylvania after voting for the Clinton Administration's budget balancing legislation, which helped to erase the Ronnie Raygun-Poppy Bush deficits, leading to budget surpluses and a booming economy. Her constituents proved to be wrong and short-sighted; Ms. Margolies' words should be heeded by the pols with their fingers in the wind.
