Quote of the Day

"With all due respect, the Daily Mail's hyperbole about 'imposing government control,' acts of 'disrespect to the American people' and 'corruption' of Senate procedures resembles more the barkings from the nether regions of Glennbeckistan than the 'sober and second thought' of one of West Virginia's oldest and most respected daily newspapers." -- West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd, in a letter written to the Charleston, WV Daily Mail, after an editorial critical of reconciliation of the health care legislation. Reconciliation is a process that was worked out some two decades ago by Byrd, who chaired the Senate Appropriations Committee, and who doesn't tolerate fools like the Daily Mail's editorialists.

Bonus points to the Senator for the "nether regions of Glennbeckistan" crack. Bwhahaha!
