Eight-term family values Rethug Congressman Mark Souder announced his resignation today following disclosure of an affair with a part-time staff member. Souder, a leading proponent of teaching abstinence (!), was facing a rematch of his 2008 race, and was thought to be among a handful of vulnerable Rethugs running for reelection.
