James Blunt's hit "You're Beautiful" was released in 2005 and climbed the U.K. and U.S. charts. On first listening, it seems to be about Blunt seeing a beautiful stranger, when in fact he has said it was about seeing his ex-girlfriend with her new boyfriend. While not a favorite of progressive rock or indie music listeners, the song has a melodic hook and poignant lyrics.
