Tortured Argument

Further debunking the argument by right wingers that torture was the "key" to finding bin Laden, CIA Director Leon Panetta has written a letter to Sen. John McNasty in which he indicates that torture made little contribution to the gathering of intelligence that led to bin Laden. Instead, Panetta indicates that detainees subjected to torture gave false and misleading information to their interrogators, and that the courier's name was obtained in 2002 from someone not detained by the CIA.

Right wingers continue to try to rewrite history, but as the facts come out, history will show that the righties were on the wrong side of it.
