Public Optimistic About Economy

A new poll by USA Today/Gallup shows that 58% of the public believes the economy will be better in 2013, a promising development for President Obama. With consumer confidence on the rebound, and a belief that the recession is finally behind us, it will help Obama sell his message that we're heading in the right direction. His probable Rethuglican opponent, vulture capitalist Willard "Scissorhands" Romney, has been counting on a bad economy to get the advantage in the Presidential race. With Obama ads now running in key swing states showing what Willard's company, Bain Capital, did to jobs and peoples' lives, perhaps the one-two punch of an improving economy and Willard's job-wrecking history will start to sink in with the electorate.
