Majority: Rethugs "Too Extreme"

For the first time, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll, Americans view the Rethuglican Party as "too extreme" and out of the political mainstream.

Fifty-three percent of Americans say the Rethuglican Party is too extreme, while 57% say the Democratic Party is "generally mainstream." This doesn't bode well for the Rethugs, who are also on the losing end of the fiscal "cliff" debate. As we move into 2013, with gun control, immigration reform, and economic recovery on the legislative agenda, the Rethuglican / New Confederate Party will be increasingly challenged to show that it's anything other than a fringe movement.
