One of the greatest feelings after the November elections was knowing that quite a few bazillionaires bet heavily on fellow plutocrat Willard "Gifts" Romney and lost big. Among the fat cats that lost big, gambling mogul and Likudnik bag man Shelly "Smelly" Adelson apparently holds the edge, having lost $150 million.
There's reporting at the link above that Smelly Shelly, who's been under Federal investigation for violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for his shady dealings in Macau, will be in Washington soon to try to get his Rethug Congressional puppets to alter that law so that he can skate. There's no one -- except perhaps Rump Trump -- that we'd love to see in the slammer more, and apparently part of Smelly Shelly's bad bet on the election was to buy some insurance against incarceration. Now, as they say, all bets are off.
