From The Sports Desk

Last night's Big 10 Championship* game resulted in a surprisingly huge win for the Wisconsin Badgers over the 14th ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers, 70 - 31. From the first two minutes of play, Nebraska may have sensed that their corn was being husked when they fell behind 14- 0, and despite rallying with 10 unanswered points, they never seemed to be in the game from then on. Running backs Montee Ball (208 yards) and James White (4 touchdowns) looked unstoppable, as Wisconsin racked up an astonishing 539 yards rushing. Wisconsin's defense also showed a power and aggressiveness that they haven't shown all season in stopping Nebraska.

The Cinderella moment could end when Wisconsin faces a strong Stanford team in the Rose Bowl on January 1. But if the Wisconsin team we saw last night shows up and plays, Wisconsin's third consecutive trip to the Rose Bowl could end in victory.
