The Oscar nominations are out, and unsurprisingly Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" leads with 12 nominations, including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis), and Best Actress (Sally Field). Other films doing well are "Life of Pi," with 11 nominations, and "Les Miserables" and "Silver Linings Playbook," each with 8 nominations.
One film that had earlier received Oscar buzz was "Argo," a film was directed by Ben Affleck, which received a Best Picture nomination, but wasn't nominated for Best Director. He did, however, receive this prestigious award, as reported by "America's Finest News Source." Congratulations, Ben....and Matt!
