If You Can't Beat 'Em, Cheat 'Em

After their massive failure to suppress the 2012 minority vote in numerous states, you'd think the Rethuglican / New Confederate Party apparatus would have learned its lesson. You'd be wrong.

When their voter suppression efforts backfired by angering minority voters who waited in line for hours to protect their right to vote, Rethugs were chastened, but are trying a new tact. Rethug Party national chairman and colossal dickhead Reince "Prepuce" Priebus told a Milwaukee paper that he and his co-conspirators are looking at ways to tilt the electoral college vote in their favor in 2016. They would change the system to award electoral votes on a Congressional district-by-district basis, which is very convenient for the Rethugs, who've spent the last decade gerrymandering Congressional districts to be majority Rethug.

Instead of re-examining their toxic policies and increasingly rightward drift, the Rethug Party has apparently chosen to cheat the people out of fair elections in order to gain power. It's the way of a banana republic, not America.
