Right Wing Smear Coming Unraveled

It appears that the right-wing smear campaign against Dem Sen. Bob Menendez (NJ) is unraveling. The formerly great Washington Post Kaplan Daily is reporting that the Dominican Republic prostitute who was allegedly paid by the Senator to engage in sex is saying she was paid to lie about him. According to her, a Dominican lawyer, saying he was representing another lawyer who was retained for a divorce case, paid her to allege that Sen. Menendez engaged her services for sex. Where the trail leads remains to be seen, but the right-wing blog The Daily Caller, Tucker "Mothertucker" Carlson's poo machine, was the leading promoter of the story for weeks. There are serious criminal issues at stake, which is why the FBI is investigating. If it leads to the door of some known propagandists and operators for the far right, would it be any surprise?
