Playing President in Syria. Incessant Sunday gab fest guest Sen. John "Walnuts" McNasty (Bitterville-AZ) skipped the talk shows and snuck into Syria over the weekend to grandstand with a rebel faction. Apparently, he was embarrassed by ABC's Martha Raddatz interview a couple of weeks ago that demonstrated he didn't know Jack Sh*t about the Syrian uprising or its al-Qaeda elements. Always ready to pretend he's actually the President after his bitter loss in 2008, McNasty has been pushing for U.S. involvement in yet another Muslim country (after Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya), despite the Pentagon's deep reservations and the fact that our allies in Europe and in the region have been counseling against it. But the neocon / Likudnik impulse dies hard, and who would ever question McNasty's judgement? <cough picked Palin cough>.
