The strongest rhetoric of the day came from conservative writer David Horowitz, who called the president “the most brazen and compulsive liar to ever occupy the White House,” drawing loud whoops and cheers from the audience. [Ed. note: =cough= Richard Nixon =cough]
“The reason we don’t attack him is obvious, but no one will say it out loud. I will: It’s because the color of his skin is black,” Horowitz told the crowd, which was predominantly white. “It is because Obama is a minority that nobody will hold him to a standard or confront him with what he has done.” (our emphasis)"The reason we don't attack him..." One has to wonder, in surveying the past 5 years, under what moss-covered rock Horowitz has been living to suggest right-wing nut sacks have held off on attacking President Obama. Also, see Horowitz' judgement immediately preceding the bolded quote. No matter.
As for Horowitz' "blackity- black- black Obama" comments, the tea baggers would like you to remember: it's racist to suggest a white person's being racist when they cast something in offensive racial terms.
