Former Gov. McDonnell and Wife Indicted

Former Virginia grifter/ Gov. "Blowdry Bob" McDonnell (R-Bribe) and his wife Maureen have been indicted today on Federal corruption charges:

Former Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell and his wife Maureen were charged in federal court Tuesday with illegally accepting gifts, luxury vacations and large loans from a wealthy Richmond-area businessman who sought special treatment from state government. 

The two were charged in connection with their relationship with dietary supplement executive Jonnie R. Williams Sr.

You can read the 14 felony counts here.  So, here we have another example of a venal pol seeing government service as a chance to pad his bank account.   To think, just a few short years ago, McDonnell was being touted as one of the future stars of the Republican / New Confederate/ Stupid Party.

Hmmm... Kind of like Gov. Chris "Krispykreme" Christie was a few months ago.  And Sen. Marco "Glug Glug" Rubio and Gov. "Bobby" Jindal and...
