Say It Ain't So Quote of the Day

“There may be reasons I don't run, but there's no obvious reason for me why I think I should not run.” -- Vice President Joe Biden, responding to a question from CNN's Kate Bouldan about his plans for 2016.  How about Dems favoring Hillary Clinton over you by 73% to 12%?  Say it ain't so, Joe.

We like Joe Biden, and under any other circumstances, would support his candidacy.  But with Dems united behind the likely candidacy of Hillary Clinton, this would be a meaningless challenge at this point.  If Secretary Clinton decides to run, Joe, take a bow, and take credit for helping President Obama with his challenges and successes.  Then step aside and give Secretary Clinton her long-deferred shot at the Presidency.
