Quote of the Day

"The court, I fear, has ventured into a minefield." -- Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, in her passionate dissent from yesterday's Supreme Court ruling allowing some employers, based on their "religious beliefs," to decide what health care services will be available to their employees.  Mother Jones provides seven other key statements from her 35-page dissent.

The right-wing culture war is being fought out in the Supreme Court, and the right-wing majority is intent on recasting many of the most important laws in generations, from the Voting Rights Act to labor law to Roe v. Wade.  Control of the White House and Senate by Dems for the foreseeable future will be critical in determining the next generation of justices.
