Robin Williams died earlier today at the age of 63 of an apparent suicide at his home outside of San Francisco. Winning the Academy Award for "Good Will Hunting," he amazed audiences with his brilliant improvisational skills, and his uniquely broad range of acting. He seemed to be a man without enemies in the entertainment business, which is mourning him. From his breakout role in TV's "Mork and Mindy" in the 1970s, Williams starred in such memorable films as "Good Morning Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society," "The Birdcage," and "Mrs. Doubtfire." He had gone back to rehab for a recurrence of substance abuse problems in July, and was described as suffering from deep depression. A very sad loss, in a very sad way.
