As we noted Tuesday, Fux and Fux Lite have been in a ratings-pumping tizzy lately over Ebola (and ISIS and EboISIS). Screaming banners and red alert graphics dominate the "coverage," which is little more than a repetition of the last hour's reports with some "expert" opinion thrown in for spice.
Meanwhile, an outbreak of enterovirus D68 has killed 4 so far in the U.S. and infected hundreds of children, but it lacks the "sizzle" (cough Africa/Obama/terrorists cough) of Ebola and ISIS.

ReplyDeleteMassive profits from tobacco and alcohol sales ensure that the deaths they cause are seldom discussed in today's corporate"infotainment" environment. Thanks P.E.C.
