Mid-Week Song

Stepping into the WABAC Machine today, we have the number 1 hit this week in July 1960, "Cathy's Clown" by the influential Everly Brothers.  Their mix of rock and country harmonies helped to launch the "rockabilly" sound, along with Roy Orbison and Gene Vincent.  Their close vocal harmonies were unusual for that time in rock and roll, and each song of theirs had an infectious hook to it.
