Hallucinating Washington Post Reporters See Republican "Mainstream Practicality"

Here's the lead paragraph from a front- page story on last night's Republican recitation of talking points "debate" in the once great Washington Post Bezos Bugle by Republican- wired "reporters" Philip Rucker and Ed O'Keefe:
The leading Republican presidential candidates clashed sharply over immigration policy, military spending, and other intractable and emotional issues in a debate here Tuesday night, bringing into sharp relief the party’s fault line between rigid conservatism and mainstream practicality.
"Mainstream practicality."  You mean John Kasich and J.E.B.! saying Donald "Rump" Trump should stop talking about building a wall and deporting 11 million immigrants (Translation: "Shhh! Let's get elected first, then we can talk about how to kick them out!")??  We think this so- called "mainstream practicality," which really hasn't existed since the days of Chuck Percy and Nelson Rockefeller, isn't going very far, but these corporate "mainstream media" reporters will continue pushing that meme anyway.

UPDATE:  Here's how "mainstream" those practical Republicans are (click on image to enlarge):
