Mid-Week Maniac Song

With "maniac" being tossed around lately to describe a Rethug candidate or two, our thoughts go to infinitely more talented maniacs that brought us some great songs not that long ago. 10,000 Maniacs, with vocalist Natalie Merchant, did a 1993 live cover version of the beautiful Patti Smith / Bruce Springsteen song, "Because the Night," and it went to the top of the charts.
