March Posts Jobs Growth

The U.S. economy posted a gain of 215,000 private sector jobs in the month of March, making it the 73rd straight month of jobs growth. The construction, retail and health industries led the surge, with some losses in the mining and manufacturing sectors. The unemployment rate ticked up 0.1% to 5%. Average hourly wages increased slightly by 7 cents to $25.43.
