Last year around this time, we posted the second movement of one of our favorite classical compositions, Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor ("Unfinished"). Since our childhood, we've associated this music with Spring, probably because of this original cover photograph,
and today we'll complete the symphony with the first movement, this time using the original Fritz Reiner and Chicago Symphony Orchestra version. See if you don't feel the gray, cold Winter giving way slowly, grudgingly to the warm Spring in this beautiful work.
