Rump's Newest Rape Talk

Speaking to his faithful, low-information followers yesterday in Indiana, neo-fascist xenophobe Donald "Rump" Trump attacked our trade policy with China, saying, "We can't continue to allow China to rape us." He went on to accuse China of "the greatest theft in history," presumably because we buy more of their goods than they buy of ours, and they're using some of that money to loan to us.  No word on whether Rump was wearing one of his made-in-China suits and ties for the rally.

That's not the first time Rump has used the metaphor of "rape" in his extremist rhetoric: he famously accused Mexico of sending "rapists" to the U.S. in the form of undocumented immigrants. Indeed, much of his inflamed rhetoric has been violent or misogynist in a sexual way: when he talked about Secretary Clinton being "schlonged," or when he claimed that Willard "Mitt" Romney would have dropped to his knees to get his endorsement, or his attack on Fux News anchor Megyn Kelly in which he suggested her menstrual cycle caused her to bring up his previous slurs on women.

It's interesting that, while Rump throws sexually-charged terms around, his own personal life has had a brush with rape, from none other than his ex-wife Ivanka.  During their divorce proceedings, she suggested that Rump had forcibly "violated" her (although she later recanted, saying it wasn't in the "criminal sense"). There's something working in that narcissistic mind of Rump's, whether it's guilt or projection or some other explanation of his psyche, and it's not pretty.  We'll leave it up to the mental health professionals to explain.
