For Stormtrumpers hitherto willing to overlook neo- fascist con artist Donald "Rump" Trump "shooting someone in the middle of 5th Avenue," his sudden concern for African Americans and especially the behind- in- the- polls "softening" of his racist, xenophobic immigration stand may cause some of the most  fervent  nutty alt- righters to start bailing on his scampaign, like this attention ho' (more on her later).  For other suckers, his continuing promise to "build the wall" will be just enough for most of them to stay aboard the garbage scow S.S. Trump, mostly because they've become invested in his schtick.  In a sense, you could say they're all participants in Trump University Extension.  As we and others have noted, all of this is not so much to gain minority support as it is to provide a veil of decency for wavering Republicans to vote for a bigot.
