Shameful: D.C. Dems Took Trump Money

According to reports, Delegate to Congress Elinor Holmes Norton and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser took campaign contributions from neo-fascist race baiter Donald "Rump" Trump and his children after the deal for a hotel on Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. was made with the Federal Government. The Federal General Services Administration awarded Rump's company the contract to renovate the Old Post Office Building in February 2012 and convert it into a hotel and commercial space. Rump has frequently bragged about his ability to influence politicians by contributing to their campaigns, most recently in his acceptance speech at the Rethuglican convention. You'll recall that last year the hotel was in the news over charges that numerous undocumented workers were employed at the site by Rump's contractors, which highlighted Rump's hypocrisy about wanting to stop the flow of illegal immigrants.

At the July 2014 groundbreaking of the hotel, Norton and Bowser, who are both African-American, stood beside Rump, the leader of the racist birther movement, as if they weren't aware of his birther race baiting of the first African-American President.  They should be absolutely ashamed and held to account by the voters of D.C. in the next Democratic primary election.
