First Lady Demolishes Birther Trump

In a rally for Hillary Clinton today in Fairfax, VA, First Lady Michelle Obama lashed neo-fascist liar Donald "Rump" Trump over his erratic behavior and demagoguery, saving an extra slap for Rump's racist birther campaign over the past several years. Rump gave a cursory, utterly insincere statement acknowledging that President Obama was born in the U.S., then proceeded to slander Hillary Clinton with the debunked lie that she started the birther movement. We await how our broken press will deal with that latest lie. Here's the First Lady on Rump:

“If a candidate is erratic and threatening, if a candidate traffics in projecting fears and lies on the trail, if a candidate has no clear plans to implement their goals, if they disrespect their fellow citizens including folks who made extraordinary sacrifices for our country, let me tell you, that is who they are.”

Without ever naming him, she also said this about Rump's disgusting, racist birther campaign that sought to delegitimize the first African-American President:

"There were those who continued to question for the past eight years up through this very day whether my husband was even born in this country. Well, during his time in office, I think Barack has answered those questions with the example he set by going high when they go low."

Think for a moment how this must have affected the Obama daughters, to hear a petty, vindictive buffoon accuse their own father of being an illegitimate President year after year, knowing it was false and malicious. That, on a human scale, if nothing else -- not his bigotry, his misogyny, his constant lying, his dangerous relationship with foreign adversaries -- once again demonstrates his utter unfitness for the Oval Office as someone lacking simple human decency.
