No Gracias, Payaso
Recall last week that Mexico's floundering President Enrique Pena Nieto hosted a meeting with neo-fascist latino-basher Donald "Rump" Trump in a mutual effort to appear "presidential." The effort failed miserably, as both of them contradicted each other over the issue of who was going to pay for the Great Wall of Trump. Varying accounts are that Rump "choked" and never brought the issue up, or that Pena told Rump at the outset of their meeting that Mexico was not going to pay for any wall. Whatever. Mexico will not pay and Rump will not be President.
Yesterday, when Hillary Clinton was asked if she would accept Pena's invitation to meet in Mexico, she simply replied "no," as she should have. Throwing a life line to a highly unpopular (and allegedly corrupt) politician after he just shared a stage with and gave credence to the leading latino-bashing white nationalist in U.S. politics has no "up side." Good move.
