Our Broken Media, Tweet Deleted Edition

A couple of weeks ago, the Associated Press issued a shamefully misleading tweet about meetings former Secretary Clinton had with donors to the Clinton Foundation. Despite the factual inaccuracy of the tweet, AP refused to retract the tweet...until today.

AP's Vice President for Standards (ed.: they have them?) issued a statement that acknowledged their tweet "omitted the important distinction between discretionary meetings and official meetings." Of course, they issued the statement on their blog, which few if any people read, and certainly not as many as follow their Twitter feed. Well done, our honorable sentinels of the press.
