Mid-Week Fame Song

Iconic singer, songwriter and actor David Bowie passed away a year ago in January, just days after his 69th birthday. He broke many molds as a performer, mixing music with performance art and stagecraft, all the while shifting persona and musical genres. Having sold an estimated 140 million records worldwide, he is one of the world's best selling artists. We're featuring one of his biggest hits, which he performed on "Soul Train" in 1975. Bowie later confessed that he had a few too many drinks before that performance. Regardless, the audience loved him and his song, "Fame."(h/t to SSBC Brian).

I remember this best as part of the soundtrack for Pretty Woman - love it! Thanks! P.E.C.

Yes! I'd forgotten that. Credit to Silver Spring Bureau Chief Brian for suggesting the tune. Thanks, P.E.C.
