Make Sure Your Voice Is Heard

As the plutocratic Republican Party (irony alert) tries to ram its almost universally unpopular repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) down the throats of the American people, we need to let our voices be heard by our representatives. This is a particularly critical stage in the legislative process, as committees dominated by sociopathic Republicans race to pass their "afflict the afflicted and comfort the comfortable" dystopian repeal bill without public hearings, Congressional Budget Office scoring, and with as little discussion in committee as possible.

If you care enough about what's happening in this country, continue to speak out and show up. Here are some resources:

E-mail your Representative

Visit or write to your Representative's local office (recommended)

E-mail or write your Senator

Participate in town halls

Make sure you have the facts about the Republican repeal bill;  Kaiser Family Foundation has a detailed section- by- section summary (pdf), but if you want just the low points, you can start here or here.

Let's continue to let the people who are supposed to be working for us know, "this is what democracy looks like."
