Originating in Los Angeles, Linkin Park shot to fame over 20 years ago with their mulit-platinum album "Hybrid Theory." Since then, they've sold over 100 million records worldwide and garnered two Grammy Awards. Tragically, their lead singer and songwriter Chester Bennington took his own life this past July. The group released a re-cut video of their newest song, "One More Light" in tribute to Bennington, who performs the lead vocals. Their rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, and singer Mike Kenji Shinoda wrote a touching note for the video, saying in part,
"One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end. In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester."
