In response to a Freedom of Information lawsuit brought by American Oversight, the Justice Department has declared that there is no evidence that former President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 Presidential campaign. According to the text of the Justice Department's legal response:
"8. Both FBI and NSD confirm that they have no records related to wiretaps as described by the March 4, 2017 tweets. Hardy Decl. ¶ 15; Weinsheimer Decl. ¶ 8. FBI again confirmed that they do not have any such records by consulting with personnel knowledgeable about Director Comey’s statements and the surveillance activities of the FBI. Hardy Decl. ¶ 15."This conclusive finding by his own Justice Department (FBI and National Security Division) will likely not stop unhinged sociopath and pathological liar Donald "Rump" Trump from continuing to claim otherwise, as he has since the original lie in March. The degree of inferiority that Rump feels to President Obama is deep and all-consuming, and drives so much of his nihilistic destruction of Obama's legacy just for spite. This was just one episode in Rump's quest to defame his predecessor.
