Weekend Whole Wide World Music

A band we featured nearly four years ago to this date, alt rockers Cage the Elephant has Kentucky roots but gained its first mass following in Great Britain a decade ago. The song we're offering today, "Whole Wide World," was actually written in 1974 and recorded in 1977 by its composer Eric Goulden (a.k.a., Wreckless Eric). It's been covered by many other  artists, including Elvis Costello, Paul Westerberg, and The Proclaimers. Cage the Elephant's cover was released this summer and went to the the top of the Alt rock charts this summer.  Hope you enjoy.
