Ho Ho Ho! Wait, Where Is Everybody?

Last night was the lighting of the national Christmas tree on the Ellipse in Washington, DC. The weather was 50ish and dry, so there should have been a nice turnout, right?

The above photo (courtesy of Steve Rudin, WJLA) was snapped while sociopathic demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump was addressing the sparse "crowd." For comparison, the crowds that President Obama drew were much larger, as the photo below from 2016 shows.

Such a small audience for President Smallcup. Sad! It's the first big lump of coal in Rump's Christmas stocking, with more to come.

The relative size of the crowds only tells part of the story, because during the Obama administration there were always far more requests for seats than could be accommodated.
