Neo-fascist con artist Donald "Rump" Trump's personal lawyer, John "Doody" Dowd, claimed yesterday that he, not Rump, wrote the tweet that implicated Rump in obstructing justice by asking former FBI Director Comey to drop the investigation of Michael "Lock Him Up" Flynn after knowing that Flynn committed a felony in lying to the FBI. After the laughter died down, observers pointed to the statement by the White (Supremacist) House that Rump's tweets are considered official policy statements.
Doody dug his legal latrine deeper today when he opined that Rump can't obstruct justice:
"...because he is the chief law enforcement officer under [the Constitution's Article II] and has every right to express his view of any case."That comes about as close to an admission that "OK, so what? He can obstruct justice" as you can get. Perry Mason he ain't. It's also a version of Richard Nixon's "when the President does it, that means it's not illegal" nonsense that would mean that the President is the only person above the law, Constitution be damned.
