Yep, the Evangelicals have sold out. Their tattered, shallow souls have been swapped for a majority on the Supreme Court, and I fear this more than almost anything else Trump has done. Because our strengths in the Court will soon be a minority as older Justices leave and Trump appoints the worst of the worst Republicans.
ReplyDeleteI dare not imagine what happens when the Court begins to dismantle the very laws we've fought so hard for. Roe v Wade, especially, but all of the protections for minorities, gays, the poor and disenfranchised. It scares me to pieces. There are hundreds of proposed laws waiting in anticipation of the big switch. Republicans have been planning this for years, and they cases will be heard when the time is right. It will be a disaster.
