Mid-Week BoDeans Twofer
Alternative rock band The BoDeans, formed in 1983 in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, have had enough "under the radar" success to have a loyal national fan base and a 30+ year longevity. They were voted "Best New American Band" in a poll by Rolling Stone readers in 1987. Many know them from their "Closer To Free" single, which was the theme song of the '90s TV show "Party of Five." Singers/guitarists Kurt Neumann and Sam Llanas form the core of the group, starting as high school classmates. Song one is from 1986, "Fade Away," and the second song, "My Hometown" (the video has shots of Waukesha and Milwaukee), is from their 2017 album "Thirteen." Enjoy.
